Producer Support Center (CAP)
Our Cooperative has a series of engineers and agricultural experts that work in the Producer Support Center (CAP), a department whose main task is to provide all the support to coffee producers.
From here we encourage good practices on the land through technical advice after developing processes that allow constant improvement and increased productivity in coffee plantations.
Another of the pillars of its function is to carry out visits and training of producers to comply with the requirements of the certifications that support our crops.
Location and Contact
The CAP is located adjacent to the El Marqués mill in Bajo San Juan, San Marcos de Tarrazú. To request technical assistance from the Cooperative's engineering team, you can use the following forms:
Catalog of Deficiencies
This catalog compiles the most frequent visual symptoms associated with deficiencies of essential nutrients in coffee plants, facilitating the identification in the field and the timely approach to each case.
The document details the deficiency characteristics of 14 nutrients, classified among macronutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sulfur, and micronutrients such as iron, zinc, boron, manganese and copper, among others. Each section includes clear descriptions, reference photographs, frequent causes in coffee soils and practical management recommendations. It also addresses factors that affect the availability of nutrients such as pH, soil texture, organic matter, excess rainfall or prolonged drought.
Forestry Project
As part of our commitment to the environment and sustainable development, we have initiated a new stage of the CoopeTarrazú Forestry Project with the delivery of trees to our associates.
In this section, you will find the technical data sheet of the 13 native species that are part of this initiative. Each one has been selected for its ecological value, its contribution to biodiversity and its adaptability to our local conditions.
We invite you to explore the characteristics, benefits and planting recommendations for species such as Aguacatillo, Sabana Oak, Guaba, Madero Negro, among others.
