Eddier Godínez and Natalia Rojas Win the Third Edition of the 6-Hour Coffee Race

The race brought together more than 200 cyclists at the CoopeTarrazú Coffee Farm for a family-friendly sporting event.

Cyclists Eddier Godínez (Bike Planet) and María Natalia Rojas (ADN Bikers CR) were crowned winners of the third edition of the 6 Horas del Café, a grueling cycling race held at the CoopeTarrazú Coffee Farm.

The challenge consists of completing as many laps as possible on a circuit laid out on the property over a continuous six-hour period.

The event, organized by CoopeTarrazú in partnership with the Los Santos Cycling Team, brought together participants from across the country, establishing itself as a sporting event that combines nature, physical challenge, and family fun.

Children and adults.

The children's competitions took place in the morning, with 107 boys and girls participating in various categories, making the event a great opportunity for families to come together.

Later, starting at 12 noon, the adult competition began with 98 participants—both men and women—who took advantage of the favorable weather conditions in April to complete the course until 6 p.m.

“A very well-organized, family-friendly event. It’s a long race, a course with some technical sections, well-marked, and very scenic. This is my first time participating, and I’m leaving very satisfied,” said Eddier Godínez, the race winner.

Godínez also praised the turnout and the quality of the event: “I want to congratulate all the participants. I saw a lot of women taking part, and six hours is tough for everyone. There were people from all over; I hope they organize it again next year.”

In the men's Open category, second place went to Juan Carlos Umaña (Equipo Ciclismo Los Santos), while Renato Gamboa (Taller Automotriz Chacón) finished in third place.

In the women's Open category, first place went to María Natalia Rojas (ADN Bikers CR), followed by Angélica Cortéz in second place and Mónica Ospino (Finca Roca Roja) in third.

Year after year, the 6-Hour Coffee Run has established itself as an event that not only promotes sports but also community well-being and integration.
